This coming weekend marks the start of a whirlwind of various whitewater festivals and the start of the peak snow melt which means the surfing will be excellent! Here’s my schedule for the next month. If you’d like to join me at any point, send me a message!

May 15th – 16th: Golden Games
Golden, CO
Don’t miss the surf competition on Saturday.

May 17th: Glenwood Springs
Glenwood, CO
The surf should be amazing!

May 22nd – 23rd: CKS Paddle Fest
Buena Vista, CO
Paddle Fest is a cornerstone event every year. I will be attending the Can I Surf That movie premiere on Friday night, and most likely find some surf in the whitewater park on Saturday.

May 24th – 25th: Surfing Glenwood
Glenwood, CO
I’m betting this time will be close to the peak runoff we will see for Glenwood. This is my favorite river wave in Colorado. I’ll be there surfing the wave while it’s at its best.

Glenwood… soooo good

May 26th – 28th: Exploration
Various locations between Glenwood, CO and Durango, CO
Over these three days I plan on exploring the surf in western Colorado. I hear there are surf waves in Grand Junction. The new/improved whitewater parks in Montrose and Gunnison will be required stops and any other places I can find inbetween.

May 29th – 30th: Animas River Days
Durango, CO
The Animas River Days will be mostly featured on Saturday the 30th, but the preliminary rounds of their surf competition may occur on Friday afternoon. I’ll be there both Friday and Saturday for the surf comp!

May 31st
Somewhere in Central Colorado
Check the flow and go. Sunday will be a travel day as I head north. I will surf either Pagosa Springs, Pueblo, Salida or Buena Vista… depending on which has the best flows.

1st half of June
I want to road trip up to Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. I’m looking for fellow surfers who’d like to join me in exploring the waves up there. If you’re interested, let me know!
